During a lunchtime concert on Wednesday, December 17th, between 12:00 and 13:30, a total of 14 songs from 14 different countries will be played on the bells of the Campus Carillon of the University of Twente. Members of the Campus Carillon Circle will also perform several well-known Christmas carols.
The concert begins and ends with the centuries-old monotonous melancholic melodies played by the Vanekerblazers on the midwinter horn.
This creates a musical event with a beautiful mix of regional (midwinter horn), national (carillon) and international culture (suggested songs). The concert is part of the festivities surrounding #Enschede700 and promises to be an atmospheric lunch gathering that sounds both traditional and surprising.
