During a lunch concert on Wednesday, December 17, between 12:00 and 13:30, a total of 12 new songs from various countries were performed. Members of the Campus Carillon Circle also played several well-known Christmas carols on the bells of the Campus Carillon of the University of Twente.
The concert began and ended with centuries-old, monotonous, melancholic melodies played by the Vanekerblazers on the midwinter horn. This created a musical event with a beautiful mix of regional (midwinter horn), national (carillon), and international culture (suggested songs). It was an atmospheric lunch gathering that sounded both traditional and surprising.
Again, a number of songs were personally introduced to the audience by the residents of Enschede who suggested the song. The concert was announced in Huis-aan-Huis Enschede: “Lunchconcert op het carillonveld van de UT met drankjes en hapjes”.
