Which song does everyone know from your country of origin? Which song is very important for your country of origin and can everyone sing along?
The tower of the Grote Kerk on the Oude Markt houses a carillon with 49 bells. Every Sunday, these bells are played with hands and feet by the city carillonist.
If you are near the Oude Markt at that time, you can hear the bell music from the tower of the Grote Kerk. So how nice is it if every Enschedean can sing along to at least one song!
Therefore, we are going to collect songs from all 150 nationalities in Enschede. In 2025, the city carillonist will play those songs on the carillon during a number of special concerts.
