Y viva España - Spain

The song "Y viva España" is a nostalgic and cheerful song celebrating the joy and spirit of Spain. The text tells of the country's warmth, hospitality, and festive soul, often linked with holidays and good memories.
Although the song was originally written in Belgium, it became widely popular in Spain during the 1970s. Over the years, it has become almost a cultural anthem, often heard during public celebrations, football matches, and popular festivals.
For me, the song evokes a mix of national pride and a connection to my roots — especially now that I live abroad. It brings back memories of summer evenings, local festivities, and being surrounded by family. I feel that by proposing this song, I am bringing a piece of home to Enschede.
My name is Miguel Pérez Hernández. I am a Spanish student currently studying International Business at Saxion University of Applied Sciences. Besides my studies, I’m also involved in student representation and community activities. I love connecting cultures and creating bridges — and this project does exactly that through music.
