Pride Enschede stands for connection, visibility, and an inclusive city where everyone can be themselves. City carillonist Esther Schopman is happy to contribute to this cause. At the organization's request, she will play special music on the city carillon between 3:15 PM and 4:00 PM — both before and during the Pride Walk, which takes place this year on October 10th. Listen out for songs such as Lady Gaga’s Born this way . The Pride Walk starts at 2:00 PM at Saxion.
Pride Enschede is a partnership involving the Municipality of Enschede, Vizier Oost-Nederland, community organizations, cultural institutions, local businesses, and engaged residents. Together, they are committed to the visibility, acceptance, and empowerment of LGBTIQA+ individuals in Enschede and the surrounding area. By organizing activities and events, sharing knowledge, and supporting initiatives, they create opportunities for connection that contribute to an open and diverse society. A society where differences are valued and everyone feels welcome, safe, and seen.
